PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-quality printing by making inconspicuous density unevenness, streaks and the like caused by joints even in the case where a line head is constructed by connecting a plurality of head units. SOLUTION: A recording head which has a plurality of nozzles of N systems (N is an integer not smaller than 2) for ejecting N kinds of ink of different concentrations for at least one color system from respective exclusive nozzles is constructed by connecting the plurality of head units. In the image processor which carries out image processing when image recording corresponding to input image data is carried out with the use of the recording head, printing data is generated so that printing of the nozzles located at the joint part of the head units corresponding to any kind of ink is carried out by using the nozzles for ink of a lower concentration of the same system, instead of printing by the subject nozzles, and also so that a printing density at the joint part is made to nearly agree with a printing density of the nozzles at a part other than the joint part.
