<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receptacle and a connector in which impedance matching can be achieved more appropriately while realizing densification of the contact which is assembled in juxtaposition in a housing composed of a dielectric, and which functions as the contact for signal. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of receptacle-side contacts 26, 27 are juxtaposed having an equal spacing in the longitudinal direction of the receptacle 12 against a receptacle housing 16. Then, air layers 39 are interposed between contacts 27 next to each other and voids 38 are formed between the receptacle housing 16 in the base part side site 36a of the intermediate part in which signal waveforms are apt to be disturbed in the contacts 27 in the case of the receptacle side contacts 27 in which the transmission distances from the contacts become longer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
