PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus with satisfactory usability by eliminating erroneous connection or operators's uneasiness by preventing automatic transmission to an address that is unknown for an operator, wherein transmission to an intended opposite party in communication using address information is definitely performed. SOLUTION: When registering a function dial such as a one-action dial, a facsimile machine 1 registers an address confirmed and selected by an operator using a user I/F unit 3, in address information acquired from a communication server on a network, in an address management unit 11 as the address of a transmission destination of the function dial and when a destination is designated by the function dial, transmission is carried out by connecting to the address registered in the relevant function dial.
