PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device and a mode switching device, eliminating need for connection with a handsfree device and a vehicle mounted device, attribute decision about a driver and a fellow passenger, and capable of automatic setting of a drive mode during driving, and capable of starting telephone conversation etc. in the drive mode by single hand. SOLUTION: The device has password forming means 41 for forming a predetermined password under a certain condition when execution of each kind of operation is limited; password outputting means 16 for outputting the password formed by the password forming means 41 by sound or an image, and for prompting a user to input a password same as the password; and a comparing unit 42 for comparing the inputted password with the outputted password. A control unit 20 is configured to release limitation of execution of call call response, transmission operation, and a telephone conversation mode when the both items are determined to be same as a result of password comparison.
