PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicide having an exceedingly excellent control effect on harmful weeds in agricultural and horticultural cultivation situations and in a non-crop land. SOLUTION: The herbicide comprises an imidazole derivative represented by general formula (1) as an active ingredient.
