PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a wiping roller for an intaglio printing machine which improves a printing performance in comparison with a conventional wiping roller for intaglio printing, has the life prolonged and enables the easy discrimination of a cleaning fluid appearing on the surface of the roller. SOLUTION: The axial core of the wiping roller for the intaglio printing machine is covered with at least one or more rubber or resin layers.
