PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferritic stainless steel welding wire capable of preventing breakage thereof, fine refining crystal grains and improving the cracking resistance. SOLUTION: A wire rod has a composition consisting of, by mass,≤0.03% C,≤3% Si,≤3% Mn,≤2% Ni, 11 to 20% Cr,≤3% Mo,≤1% Co,≤2% Cu, 0.02 to 2.0% Al, 0.2 to 1.0% Ti,≤0.02% O,≤0.04% N, at least one of Nb and Ta, the mass% thereof being 8 times the total mass% of C and N to 1.0 mass%, and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities. The grain number of the wire is set to be 3-10 through the heat treatment. The wire rod is drawn to manufacture a ferritic stainless steel wire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
