PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an excessive force from acting on clothing or on a hook even when a child attempts to unhook a piece of clothing hanging on the hook installed on a sidewall face of a locker and an excessive force is then applied on the clothing or on the hook for hanging clothing, thereby to prevent breakage of the sidewall of the locker, and also to improve durability of a wooden locker used in a kindergarten or the like. SOLUTION: The hook for hanging clothing, which is installed on a sidewall face 2a of a locker and hooks clothing for hanging, comprises a base board 11 fixed to a wall face, arc-shaped guide parts 12, 13 provided on the base board, almost L-shaped hold members 21 arcuately movable along the wall face and also the guide parts from an upper position to a lower position, energizing members 23 energizing the hold members 21 to the upper position of the guide parts, and a positioning mechanism positioning the hold members to the upper position.
