PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide religious articles such as a family Buddhist altar and Buddhist altar fittings whose surfaces can be kept clean over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The religious articles such as an internal wall of the family Buddhist altar 100, an incense holder 110, candle holders 120a, 120b, a bell 130 and a Buddhist memorial tablet 140 are provided with multifunctional layers formed of carbon-doped titanium oxide or titanium alloy oxide with high photocatalytic function, at least at part of the surfaces.
