In a filing cabinet which may be used for glass slides, drawers 14 have guides 22 engaging a number of flanged channels 10 arranged sideby-side on the bottom of the cabinet frame. The drawers are formed of metal pressings and have backs 20 too high to pass beneath crossbar 7 unless the drawer is tilted upwardly and fronts 28 having horizontal label carrying slots 30. Wider drawers, arranged to span a number of channels 10, have split guides each having one flange 24. The channels 10 extend only half way to the back wall. The upper lateral edges of each cabinet frame are provided with locating flanges to enable a number of frames to be stacked on top of one another. |
