摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanoporous metal oxide material which has high adhesion to various substrates like honeycomb filters and excellent heat resistance, and further provides thin film coatings on substrates, and also provides coatings having excellent heat-resistance with high level of adhesion to substrates such as metallic honeycomb filters and high density honeycombs. <P>SOLUTION: The nanoporous metal oxide material comprises two or more kinds of metal oxides. In the nanoporous metal oxide material, the content of ceria is 10-60 mass%, the content of zirconia is 20-90 mass%, and the content of alumina is &le;70 mass%.
