<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for an optical medium which is provided with mechanical characteristics of transparency, heat resistance, rigidity and the like and has improved moldability such as melting fluidity, transferability and the like and chemical resistance and improved birefringence of its molded product and to provide an optical disk substrate and an optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: The resin composition for the optical medium is formed by mixing a fluidity improving agent (B) in an aromatic polycarbonate resin (A), wherein the fluidity improving agent (B) is a polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture consisting of 0.5 to 99.5 mass% aromatic vinyl monomer (b1), 0.5 to 99.5 mass% monomer (b2) represented by the formula (1) and 0 to 40 mass% other monomer (b3) [sum total of the monomers (b1) to (b3) is 100 mass%]. In the formula, R<SP>1</SP>denotes a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and R<SP>2</SP>denotes a phenyl group which may have a substituent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
