<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a writing utensil, to which a connecting cord with an ornamental body can be easily annexed without using a special tool and employing a special member. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing utensil, to a clip consisting of a leg part projecting towards the surface of a barrel and a clip main body extending along the axial center line of the barrel of which the ornamental body is annexed, the ornamental body connects with the connecting cord, at the tip of which an annular body with its inner diameter expandable by an elastic deformation so as to expand the inner diameter of the annular body by its elastic deformation by insertingly passing the annular body on the clip main body and then moving the annular body to the fore end part side of the clip main body and then to turn one inner surface of the annular body under the condition being abutting against the leg part about its abutting part with the leg part to the surface side of the barrel, resulting in passing the other inner surface of the annular body over the fore end part of the clip main body and moving the annular body to the foot part of the barrel of the leg part and, at the same time, contracting the inner diameter of the annular body to its initial state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
