OXYGEN CONCENTRATOR AND COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-swing absorption type oxygen concentrator which suppresses the occurrence of sound caused by a piston drive mechanism of a compressor without causing increase in load of a motor for driving a compressor to be utilized.

SOLUTION: A type in which pistons are reciprocated by rotation of a motor 23 is adopted for a compressor 21, wherein a piston drive mechanism is covered with a case 28 so as not to be exposed to the outside of the compressor itself. An appropriate portion of the case 28 is provided with an opening 128 for passing through the inside and outside thereof. The opening 128 is blocked by stuffing a sound-absorbing material such as breathable sponge. Pneumatic pressure fluctuation generated in a space where the piston drive mechanism covered with the case 28 is disposed, is prevented through the medium of a breathable sound-absorbing material, thereby suppressing the occurrence of sound without increasing the load of the motor 23.
