PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling support device capable of ensuring consistency in the information, with respect to a marker, even if there is a marker detecting device restored from abnormal state or the like, in a multiplexed marker detecting device. SOLUTION: In the traveling support device which has a marker detecting means for detecting a marker installed on a track at each predetermined interval and supports the traveling of a vehicle, on the basis of marker information applied to a marker detected by the marker detecting means, the marker detecting means has two marker detecting devices or more, for independently detecting a marker, and a first maker detecting device has a marker information updating means for updating the marker information of a second marker detecting device with marker information, detected by the first marker detecting device (step S16), when the second marker detecting device cannot detect the marker (no in step S13).
