PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a UML (Unified Modeling Language) model preparation support method and its system capable of preventing generation of errors and contradictions by making clear relations among a plurality of UML figures. SOLUTION: A UML model is formed by figures, elements, and relations in the UML model preparation support system 10, and a modification of the UML model means that a definition for adding, deleting, or updating at least any one among the figures, elements, and relations forming the UML model is memorized. Modification of a UML model currently being in process of preparation is recorded in a modification record DB14 on the basis of this definition, and information for dependent relations among a plurality of modifications is recorded. When the UML model currently being in process of preparation is modified, the other modification similar to this modification is searched from the modification record DB14, the other modification in which the similar modification obtained by this search has an influence is traced, and modifications having possibility of occurrence in the future are prepared so as to indicate to a developer.
