PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically aggregate marking of judgement whether the answers written on an educational material used at an educational institution are correct or incorrect without trouble such as creating or manually inputting point allocation information in advance. SOLUTION: The device for processing an educational material comprises: a reading means 2 to read image data from the educational material 20; a correct/incorrect decision recognition means 8-11 to extract, from the image data, entry content of correct/incorrect decision written on the educational material 20; a point allocation information recognition means 12 which extracts point allocation information in the educational material 20 from the image data obtained by the reading means 2 and makes it correspond to the correct/incorrect decision written on the educational material 20; and a marking tabulation means which aggregates, based on the extraction result by the correct/incorrect decision recognition means 8-11 and the recognition result by the point allocation information recognition means 12, marking of the correct/incorrect judgement written on the educational material 20.
