PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate peak value of a noise waveform (especially, transient waveform) even in a simple constitution, and to display a noise waveform reproduced highly faithfully. SOLUTION: An input waveform X input from a measured signal line is directly applied to one changed terminal 12a of a multiplexer 12, a waveform Y formed by removing a fundamental wave component from the input waveform X by a high pass filter 11 is applied to the other changed terminal 12b, the input waveform X and waveform Y alternately output from the multiplexer 12 is A/D converted by one common A/D converter 13, data of the waveform Y is monitored by a control means 14, the waveform Y is detected as a transient waveform when the data is larger than a reference value, the trigger is activated on, and digital data of the input waveform X is stored in a memory 15 over a predetermined data length.
