<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel multiple oxide with a rock salt type crystal structure in which a group 13 substitutional element is uniformly allowed to enter into solid solution as the raw material for a lithium-nickel multiple oxide suitable as the positive material of a lithium secondary battery. <P>SOLUTION: The oxide with a rock salt type crystal structure is expressed by the compositional formula (I) (wherein, M denotes at least one kind of element selected from Al, Ga and In; and x, y and z denote the numbers respectively satisfying 0≤x≤0.5, 0<y≤0.3, and 1/2y≤z≤2y), and is obtained by performing firing in a state where, to the Ni compound and the M compound, the Li compound is added in accordance with the amount of the M compound to be substituted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
