摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component development apparatus with which the optimization of a toner is made possible and high definition can be obtained for a long period of time as a toner supply roller and a development system, an image forming apparatus which has high transfer performance. <P>SOLUTION: The development apparatus 4 uses the toner supply roller 412 of the following configuration: A suction nozzle having a prescribed opening disposed at the tip of a pipe connected to a suction pump is brought into pressure contact with the outer peripheral surface of the toner supply roller, at least the outer peripheral surface of which is formed of a foam; air is sucked from the outer peripheral surface of the toner supply roller and the internal pressure of the suction pipe is measured; and the measured value of this time is &le;(Ax150)kPa when the flow rate of the air sucked by the suction nozzle is defined as A liter/minute.
