<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-column rotary workbench apparatus which achieves effective work above a vehicle track without being influenced by work on a vehicle track side or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A hanging column 5 is attachably/detachably mounted in a position separated from a rail 2 at a predetermined distance in a beam 4a of a stringing pole 4 straddling the rail 2 of a railroad track in the width direction. A workbench 6 is rotatably mounted in the hanging column 5 so as to allow rotational displacement between the upper position and retreat position of the rail 2.
