PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and transceiver in which a BS digital broadcast for transmitting a transport stream including a frame constitution and transmission multiplex control information indicating a modulation scheme within the frame or transport stream constitution is stably transmitted/received using a cable television (CATV) transmission line or the like. SOLUTION: In a method of performing transmission/reception, switching information of digital data in a hierarchized transport stream form of a BS digital broadcast sent by transmission multiplex control information or a digital modulation wave of FSK or the like is received and while attaining a hierarchization switching timing, digital data of the hierarchized transport stream form are selectively received.
