摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence device capable of increasing luminance, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: An intermediate medium layer 3 as a flattening layer is formed on an interlayer insulation film 12 over a TFT 140. An opening part is formed in the intermediate medium layer 3, and a color filter layer 2 is formed in the opening part. A hole injection electrode 4 having a refractive index higher than that of the intermediate medium layer 3 is formed from over the color filter layer 2 to over the intermediate medium layer 3 respectively. The flattening layer 13 is formed to cover a part of the hole injection electrode 4. An organic layer 5 including a luminous layer is formed over the whole area to cover the hole injection electrode 4 and the flattening layer 13, and the electron injection electrode 6 is formed over the organic layer 5.
