PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a source code search device with which source code can be searched efficiently and exactly. SOLUTION: A class and a method are extracted from source codes inputted at a source code syntax analysis section 5, and decomposed into words in an identifier word decomposition section 6. Inputted text is decomposed into words in a text syntax analysis section 2. A word contained in the text and a word contained in a method are compared in a word comparison section 9. At that time, they are translated in a translation dictionary section 10 if needed, and a synonym is acquired in a synonym dictionary section 11 and compared in the word comparison section 9. A matching rate is acquired based on the result of comparison in a class method-text comparison section 8, and a candidate of the method which becomes a search result based on the matching rate is extracted in a class method candidate extraction section 12.
