PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deposition of an abrasive on the inner surface of a base body when applying honing processing to a base body or the like for an electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The method of honing processing includes a roughening step of blowing an abrasive to a cylindrical base body to roughen the surface of the cylindrical base body and a cleaning step of cleaning the abrasive remaining on the surface of the cylindrical base body, wherein the abrasive is prevented from being deposited on the inner surface of the base body by spraying a fluid in the cylindrical base body at least either during or after the roughening step.
