PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration isolator with a new structure, capable of easily and highly accurately changing and adjusting a spring component constituting an auxiliary vibration system and of stably obtaining effective vibration isolating effects even when a frequency of vibration to be isolated is changed. SOLUTION: A permanent magnet 76 is provided in a fixed side supporting member 12 and/or displaceable member 14, and the displaceable member 14 is elastically positioned in the fixed side supporting member 12 by using magnetic force of the permanent magnet 76. An electromagnet 70 is provided in the fixed side supporting member 12 and/or displaceable member 14, and elastic positioning force applied to the displaceable member 14 by magnetic force of the permanent magnet 76 can be adjusted by magnetic force of the electromagnet 70.
