PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-priming electric pump capable of realizing a self-priming function effectively even if positions of conventional suction port and discharge port are reversed by dividing an electric pump casing into two parts, requiring a partition plate and a sheet-like elastic body in an intermediate section, and providing a shutting-off wall in a casing cover being one part of two parts of the divided casing to improve the self-priming function. SOLUTION: The electric pump casing is divided into two parts, the partition plate and the sheet-like elastic body are required in the intermediate section, and the casing cover shutting-off wall 25 is provided in the casing cover 12 being one part of two parts of the divided casing to improve the self-priming function.
