PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair property-improving agent which contains cysteamine as a reducing agent, can surely perform hair property-improving treatments such as the straightening of curled hair, the settlement of spreadable hair, the prevention in the curling of the curled hair to facilitate the setting of the hair, and the softening of the hair to facilitate the setting of the hair, while inhibiting the production of an offensive smell during the treatments and preventing an offensive smell from leaving in the hair after the treatments, can reduce damages against the hair, and can impart a glossy, wet and calm collecting touch to the hair after the treatment. SOLUTION: This hair property-improving agent is characterized by comprising cysteamine, an amino-modified silicone, and an oil having a melting point of 30 to 60°C, and having a cysteamine concentration of 0.5 to 3 mass% and a pH 7.5 to 11.
