PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web winding device hardly generating wrinkle on a web and not requiring detoxifying treatment or the like after winding. SOLUTION: After the web 2 is conveyed to a first winding core 3 and is wound on the first winding core 3 by predetermined length, the web 2 is cut by a cutting means 9 in a width direction and the web 2 in an upstream side in a conveying direction from the cutting portion is wound on a second winding core 5. The web winding device has a spraying means 10 for spraying pure water 34 to a neighborhood to the cutting portion at the web 2 and the upstream side in the conveying direction from the cutting portion.
