PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire capable of preventing the durability of a wire chafer from deteriorating due to the falling down of a bead part without sacrificing suppressing effect against deformation in the peripheral direction of the bead part of the wire chafer and thermal degradation due to the deformation. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic radial tire 21, when the condition where it is mounted to a predetermined rim under a prescribed inner pressure and a prescribed load is applied is made to be a first condition, the condition where only the load is zero in the first condition is made to be a second condition, the point P is made to be the point on the tire surface where the tire surface 4B(S1) starts separating from the rim under the first condition on the section in the tire width direction corresponding to the position in the peripheral direction right below the axis, and the straight line L is made to be the straight line which passes the point P1 where the point P is positioned under the second condition, and orthogonal to the tire surface 4B (S2) under the second condition, the end 3b of the tire outside surface side of a wire reinforcing band 3 is positioned further at the inner side in the radial direction than the straight line L, and the end 3a of the tire inside surface side of the wire reinforcing band is positioned further at the outer side in the radial direction than the straight line L.
