PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance recording quality by a recording head by suppressing occurrence of wrinkles in a material to be recorded fed. SOLUTION: The carrying device is provided with a feeding section 16 for feeding a recording paper 3 from a feeding roll 11 wound with the recording paper 3, a platen 18 which is provided facing the recording head 7 for recording on the recording paper 3 fed from the feeding section 16 and supports the recording paper 3, a winding section 20 for winding the recording paper 3 recorded with the recording head 7 on a winding roll 12, and a suction fan 52 for sucking the recording paper 3 supported on the platen 18. The platen 18 is provided with a plurality of recesses 48 which are surrounded by projected walls 49 formed from the upstream side to the downstream side in the carrying direction of the recording paper 3 at a position corresponding to the recording region by the recording head 7 and are arranged in the width direction of the recording paper 3. A plurality of suction holes 51 for sucking the recording paper 3 with the suction fan 52 are formed in the bottom surface inside of the recesses 48. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
