PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concentrated dampening water composition which is comfortable and safe under working environments as an appropriate alternative of isopropyl alcohol, excellent in terms of printing stability, displays successful and stable suitability for printing even under the conditions of a rapidly rotating member and demonstrates high shelf stability despite its high degree of thickness. SOLUTION: This concentrated dampening water composition comprises 0.5 to less than 10 mass% glycerine, further, 10 to less than 40 mass% propylene glycol mono n-butyl ether or 10 to less than 40 mass% dipropylene glycol mono n-butyl ether.
