PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for mounting a foaming substrate capable of reducing the number of part items and shortening the time required for mounting work. SOLUTION: In this mounting structure of a foaming substrate, an insertion hole 120 for inserting a foaming substrate 100 is bored to a reinforced panel 118 (corresponding to an intermediate panel), and the foaming substrate 100 is equipped with a lock part 106 between a first substrate part 130 and a second substrate part 132. The lock part 106 locks the foaming substrate 100 while the substrate is inserted in the insertion hole 120. The first substrate part 130 and the second substrate part 132 exist in every blocked space blocked by the intermediate panel when they are locked by the lock part 106, respectively. At least one of the first substrate part 130 and the second substrate part 132 has branched pieces 104 and 114 (corresponding to deformed parts) deformable in an enlarging direction in the blocked space.
