The alternating voltage-rectifier-cascade has a wind generator which gives alternating voltage as an output. The cascade possesses at least two stages and a selector switch is provided for delivering the output voltage of the cascade. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) Cascade stage; and (B) Selector switch for the output voltage.
