<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for driving a display panel by which occurrence of a failure on a display screen is suppressed even when temperature of the display panel is outside of a predetermined temperature range in a device for driving the display panel in which elements for display are arranged at each intersection position of a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines. <P>SOLUTION: The device 100 for driving the display panel 1 in which the elements E1 for display are arranged at each intersection position of a plurality of data lines and a plurality of scan lines and the elements E1 for display are driven by drive means 2, 3, includes a voltage supply means 7 by which any of a plurality of voltage values is selected and for supplying voltage of the selected value to the drive means 2, 3; a temperature detection means 9 for detecting temperature of the display panel 1; and a control means 8 for performing operation control of the drive means 2, 3, wherein the control means 8 selects the voltage value to be supplied by the voltage supply means 7 based on temperature information detected by the temperature detection means 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
