<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve structure of V-shaped groove cutting byte aiming at enhancement of optical transmission efficiency and prevention of leak light of a sheet illuminator used for a liquid crystal display, etc. <P>SOLUTION: V-shaped grooves 12, 13 are processed using the cutting byte 21 in a substrate layer member 41 using a transparent material. The byte 21 forms minute projected pleats for optical reflection aiming at prevention of the leak light on the side of the V-shaped groove in order to enhance reflection efficiency in the V-shaped groove and to guide the reflection light to the center part of the illuminator without attenuation. A minute projected cutting blade for forming the pleats is constituted on the side of a byte such as 22 to constitute the minute projected pleats. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
