<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell directly supplying organic fuel to an electrode, with improved fuel consumption efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell comprises a power-generation part sandwiching a solid electrolyte film between a fuel pole and an air pole; a feeding path feeding the fuel pole with an organic fuel liquid; and a regulation part regulating a feeding amount of the fuel liquid. At least a part of the feeding path is made of a tubular elastic member. The regulation part presses the elastic member to decrease the feeding amount of the fuel liquid. Stopping the feeding of the fuel when not using the fuel cell prevents the fuel from being wastefully consumed, and improves a utilization efficiency of the fuel. The fuel liquid consists of, for instance, a methanol aqueous solution. The elastic member may be composed of a silicone rubber or a vinyl chloride. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
