RELAY PROCESSOR, RELAY PROCESSING METHOD, AND ALIGNMENT CONTROL UNIT USED THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a delay in the rewriting processing of frame forwarding destination information caused by a difference of protocols.

SOLUTION: An alignment control unit 50 performs alignment for frame data to store them per word (132 bits) based on IP pointer information and data pointer information from a frame analysis unit 20. Namely, data up to an IP pointer are stored in an A word #1 as a protocol #1 (MAC header). Data from the IP pointer to a data pointer are stored in an A word #2-3 as a protocol #2 (IP header). Data from the data pointer are stored in an A word #4-9 as a protocol #3 (Data). The frame rewriting unit rewrites a fixed data field divided into the protocols #1-3 with forwarding destination information.
