摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently secure a primary EA stroke and a secondary EA stroke at the time of a vehicle collision, between the outputting section to a steering mechanism of an outputting shaft and a steering wheel. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device for vehicle is equipped with an inputting shaft 21 which is connected with the steering wheel 26, and the outputting shaft 23 which is connected with the inputting shaft 21 through a torsion bar 22 while being connected with the steering mechanism. The electric power steering device is also equipped with a torque sensor mechanism 30 which detects a steering torque by a relative rotational displacement amount of the outputting shaft 23 and the inputting shaft 21, and a rotational force transmitting mechanism 40 which transmits the rotating force of an electric motor 41, which is driven from the torque detected by the torque sensor mechanism 30, to the outputting shaft 23. The rotational force transmitting mechanism 40 is arranged on the front side of the vehicle more than the outputting section (a pinion 23b) to the steering mechanism of the outputting shaft 23.
