PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly exhaust a decomposed gas of an electrolyte or the like generated from the inside of a battery due to abnormal heating from the outside, from a battery pack, and secure the safety of the battery pack, of which the battery comprising a battery case and a cap of a sealing plate sealing its one-end opening as connecting electrodes differing in polarities from each other, external connecting terminals each connected to the electrodes and an insulating cover are integrated with each other, and the connecting leg of one external connecting terminal is connected by welding to the outer face of the battery case from a terminal unit covering at least one end of the battery case. SOLUTION: In the battery pack, gas drainage holes 17a each communicating with a space between one end of the battery case and a terminal unit 13 with the outside are disposed at connecting legs 17 on both sides of the terminal unit 13 in which external connecting terminals connected to the connecting electrodes of the battery and the insulating cover are integrated with each other.
