PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for discriminating a regulated region suitable, for example, for discriminating the regulated region for exhaust gas etc. SOLUTION: The device comprises: the control part 18 calculates the present position from the radio wave received from the GPS satellite; the regulation data storing part 15 for storing the exhaust gas regulation data regarding the exhausting gas regulated region; the positional relation derivation part 16 for calculating the positional relation between the present position and the regulated region based on the present position calculated by the control means 18 and the exhaust gas regulation data; and the output part 17 for outputting the calculation results of the positional relation derivation part 16.
