PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically specify an image selected by a user during display of an electronic album even if a number of images are included in the electronic album and to order printing of the specified image. SOLUTION: An electronic album display system for displaying electronic albums each including a plurality of images is provided with: a reproducing unit for reading the plurality of images from a recording medium and reproducing the images, an image display unit for displaying each of the plurality of images to be reproduced and identification information for indicating image identification information for identifying each of the plurality of images on a screen, and a remote control unit to be operated by the user at a position away from the image display unit. In this system, the remote control unit has an image selecting unit to be operated for image selection by the user, an image pickup unit for picking up images including an image of the screen, an identification image extracting means for extracting an identification image from the picked-up images, and a selection detecting means for detecting an selected image on the basis of the image identification information indicated by the extracted identification image.
