PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting which improves the operability thereof by stabilizing a sash during inward tilting operation. SOLUTION: A double-hung window 1 is provided with a lock device 60 which inhibits vertical movement of a lower end of a lower sash 30 during inward tilting operation, and therefore even if the lower end is energized upward by a balancer, it does not move upward, which contributes to stabilization of the lower sash 30 during inward tilting operation, to thereby improve the operability of the window. Further even if an energizing force of the balancer is increased, the stability of the lower sash is maintained, and therefore the lower sash 30 can be enlarged, which enables formation of the double-hung window 1 having a large opening.
