PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method at construction site for a huge pontoon type floating body of a flood tide flood damage floating building capable of floating even when tsunami and flood tide due to typhoon occur and preventing its flooding. SOLUTION: In this floating body construction method for the flood damage floating building, this building is constituted by providing a vessel structure pool type foundation buried in the ground, opening its upper face, and provided with a side wall and a bottom face, putting the pontoon type floating body provided with a house constructed in an upper part on a bottom face of the foundation, and providing an anchor device between the floating body and the foundation to realize a structure allowing the floating body to float but preventing it from being washed away by running water when flood occurs. A pedestal is temporarily installed on the bottom face of the pool type foundation to construct the floating body on the pedestal, water is supplied into a pool to let the floating body float, the pedestal is carried out of the pool by work in water, and water is drained to install the floating body on a bottom face of the pool.
