PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkaline detergent which has an excellent non-corrosivity to aluminum, since the conventional alkaline detergents easily corrode non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and therefore are unable to be used for cleaning electronic parts at least for a portion of which aluminum is used. SOLUTION: The alkaline detergent contains (A) an organic alkali and (B) one or more than one kind of hydrophilic organic solvent selected from the group consisting of water, (B1) a monool with a molecular weight of≥32 to a number average molecular weight of 500, (B2) a diol with a molecular weight of≥62 to a number average molecular weight of 250, (B3) a 3-9 valent polyol with a molecular weight of≥92 to a number average molecular weight of 400 and (B4) an alkyl ether of (B1) or (B2).
