A vehicle tyre comprises a running strip (5), side walls (3) and a module on the inside (2) of the tyre. At least one compensating member (4) is located in a tyre structural section to compensate for the tyre module. The compensating member reduces mass and is in the form of a cut out in the running strip or in the carcass or belt. The mass is reduced to compensate for the difference between the tyre module and a limiting mass of about 5g.
