The measuring unit interacts with a control switch (31) to define the rolling of the tape from the roller and for guiding the tape in the head. Preferred Features: The measuring unit and the control switch are connected together as a master-slave unit. An adhesive tape cutting unit is activated via the control switch during relative movement of the adhesive head over the surface to be adhered. The control switch is joined to a storage unit in which the sections to be adhered during an adhesive lift are stored.
