<p>The platform (8) is no less than 30 m in diameter (dp). The gradient (G) to the edge wall is about 3%, to drain off water. When a lever is operated on the platform, a hydraulic system (15) raises it through at least a further 5 m. The staircase (14) is designed to follow this extension automatically. The center of the platform is a helicopter landing pad with current communications-, warning and lighting systems. This is separated and secured from the refuge area on the remainder of the platform, by a rail.</p> |
