The device has a transport channel of essentially rectangular cross-section and several sequential connected sections (1a,1b) whose longitudinal axes are alternately inclined on opposite sides at angles of less than 45 degrees to the longitudinal axis of the feed tube.. The cross-sections of the sections are rotated in alternating direction by an angle in the range from about 10 to 90 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a ceramic core for an inventive feed tube.
