Process for observing objects from different viewing directions using a microscope comprises producing and storing a first receiver of the target region, pivoting the microscope about a defined angle, producing and storing a second receiver of the target region, marking one point (1) in both receivers, calculating the coordinates of the point by triangulation, and controlling so that one pivoting movement can be carried out around this point. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process. Preferred Features: The control step is carried out so that the microscope is subjected to a translation movement.
